Welcome to the Main Event

Today is a very big day. Today is the day I start living the life I have always wanted to live.  And if you are reading this, it means that you are now a part of my journey. The end goal is to do precisely this for a living; write and talk about the things that I enjoy and find interesting.

Over the course of the past few months, I have began making subtle changes in my day to day life, that I believe will ultimately help me get where I aspire to go. Simple things, like eating more fruits and veggies, eating less, working out more, being more social, reading, writing, so on and so forth. I’ve lost about 30 pounds since the beginning of the year, and have never felt as good as I currently do. But, there is still a void. I like my job, but it is not something I would ever dream of making a career out of. So I have decided to go and grab the life I desire straight by the balls.

My dream life is relatively simple, but to others probably sounds crazy.

I don’t want to “work”.

On paper, it sounds pretty lazy. However, not wanting to “work”, and being “lazy” are two completely different things. Don’t get me wrong, I can be one of the laziest guys you know, but I can also strap up the boots, put my head down, and grind out some hard work. Joe Rogan had Wiz Khalifa on his show here recently, and Joe remarked something along the lines that we need a new word for people like Wiz, whose “work” is realistically his passion project so to speak. Wiz “works” hard but is it really work? Is doing something you are absolutely in love with capable of being considered work? This is what I mean when I say, “I don’t want to work.” I want do wake up each day, and do whatever it is I feel is the best way to spend my day. It could be video editing, writing, recording a podcast, or a laundry list of other things. But working, especially for anyone but myself, makes me want to blow my brains out.

So this is why this blog has come to fruition. I’ll be writing a new blog post each week, and hopefully be recording at least one podcast a week. I have a lot of ideas I have been working on stored away, and I am incredibly excited to get started. It’s a long road ahead, but I’m ready for the journey. Let’s ride!!
